Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Oil & Gas and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.41%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 4.72% or 0.2380 points to trade at 5.2840 at the close. Meanwhile, Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) added 2.95% or 1.01 points to end at 35.21 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.78% or 0.51 points to 18.88 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 3.19% or 0.154 points to trade at 4.673 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 1.65% or 0.36 points to end at 21.49 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was down 1.12% or 0.42 points to 37.10.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 75 to 65 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) rose to all time highs; rising 2.95% or 1.01 to 35.21.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.13% or 0.10 to $79.13 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.03% or 0.72 to hit $70.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.45% or 5.40 to trade at $1208.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1682, while EUR/GBP rose 0.03% to 0.8876.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 94.09.
