Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Basic Materials and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.40%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which rose 3.39% or 1.46 points to trade at 44.50 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.43% or 0.255 points to end at 18.050 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.40% or 0.62 points to 44.84 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIETO), which fell 1.73% or 0.52 points to trade at 29.54 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.33% or 0.067 points to end at 4.967 and Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) was down 1.22% or 0.25 points to 20.22.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 76 to 64 and 19 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) rose to all time highs; up 1.43% or 0.255 to 18.050.
Brent oil for August delivery was down 0.70% or 0.53 to $74.85 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 1.39% or 0.91 to hit $64.61 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.10 to trade at $1303.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.57% to 1.1780, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.32% at 93.55.
