Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.37% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 3.56% or 0.12 points to trade at 3.38 at the close. Meanwhile, Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) added 2.52% or 1.50 points to end at 61.00 and Kojamo (HE:KOJAMO) was up 1.87% or 0.17 points to 9.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 0.45% or 0.02 points to trade at 3.73 at the close. Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) declined 0.41% or 0.06 points to end at 14.52 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was down 0.39% or 0.07 points to 17.93.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 80 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.87% or 0.67 to $76.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 1.11% or 0.81 to hit $72.36 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.16% or 4.20 to trade at $2,546.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.12% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.21% to 0.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 101.08.
