Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.36% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 2.48% or 0.17 points to trade at 7.24 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 1.94% or 0.72 points to end at 37.82 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was up 1.44% or 0.55 points to 38.64 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which fell 2.64% or 1.05 points to trade at 38.79 at the close. Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) declined 0.54% or 0.25 points to end at 45.63 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.29% or 0.11 points to 37.59.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 54 and 25 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was up 2.22% or 1.24 to $57.04 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.82% or 0.91 to hit $50.89 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1276.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1710, while EUR/GBP rose 0.41% to 0.8916.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.44% at 93.72.
