Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.56% or 0.16 points to trade at 6.22 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.27% or 0.38 points to end at 17.15 and Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) was up 2.00% or 0.68 points to 34.72 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT), which fell 7.75% or 2.12 points to trade at 25.22 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.28% or 0.05 points to end at 4.00 and Qt Group Oyj (HE:QTCOM) was down 0.45% or 0.40 points to 88.50.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 69 and 33 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.47% or 0.37 to $79.03 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.57% or 0.43 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.40% or 36.90 to trade at $2,676.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.06% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.05% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.10% at 102.68.
