Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Consumer Services, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.34% to hit a new 3-months high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:TYRES), which rose 1.75% or 0.15 points to trade at 8.72 at the close. Meanwhile, UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) added 1.31% or 0.40 points to end at 30.98 and Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) was up 1.26% or 0.51 points to 40.92 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 1.18% or 0.25 points to trade at 20.90 at the close. Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) declined 0.58% or 0.15 points to end at 25.75 and Kemira Oyj (HE:KEMIRA) was down 0.45% or 0.10 points to 22.08.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 95 to 77 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.73% or 0.56 to $77.49 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 1.03% or 0.76 to hit $74.31 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.25% or 6.20 to trade at $2,533.80 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.18% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 101.61.
