Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 2.30% or 0.39 points to trade at 17.35 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 1.25% or 0.04 points to end at 3.57 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was up 1.24% or 0.58 points to 47.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA), which fell 1.88% or 0.80 points to trade at 41.86 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.74% or 0.76 points to end at 42.88 and Valmet Oyj (HE:VALMT) was down 1.72% or 0.46 points to 26.32.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 91 to 78 and 20 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 1.62% or 1.36 to $85.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 2.12% or 1.69 to hit $81.40 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.02% or 0.40 to trade at $2,468.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.33% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.07% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 103.52.
