Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Industrials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.32%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which rose 8.47% or 0.55 points to trade at 6.98 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 3.55% or 0.61 points to end at 17.79 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 2.36% or 1.17 points to 50.75 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV), which fell 1.79% or 0.82 points to trade at 44.97 at the close. Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) declined 1.52% or 0.160 points to end at 10.380 and Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) was down 1.10% or 0.25 points to 22.45.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 61 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 0.30% or 0.21 to $69.47 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February rose 0.44% or 0.28 to hit $64.08 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.70% or 9.20 to trade at $1331.70 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.83% to 1.2132, while EUR/GBP fell 0.27% to 0.8864.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.65% at 91.06.
