Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Industrials, Healthcare and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.31%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were YIT Oyj (HE:YIT), which rose 6.50% or 0.34 points to trade at 5.49 at the close. Meanwhile, Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) added 4.79% or 1.44 points to end at 31.48 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was up 2.79% or 0.49 points to 18.26 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA), which fell 4.78% or 0.242 points to trade at 4.824 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 3.12% or 0.89 points to end at 27.59 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 2.91% or 1.01 points to 33.71.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 84 to 58 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for September delivery was up 0.81% or 0.60 to $74.53 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 0.68% or 0.47 to hit $69.77 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.45% or 5.50 to trade at $1226.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.55% to 1.1663, while EUR/GBP fell 0.09% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.46% at 94.41.
