Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Industrials, Oil & Gas and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.30%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which rose 3.43% or 1.90 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Meanwhile, Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V) added 2.16% or 0.150 points to end at 7.090 and Metso Oyj (HE:METSO) was up 1.93% or 0.60 points to 31.68 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 1.98% or 0.1650 points to trade at 8.1500 at the close. Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) declined 1.03% or 0.40 points to end at 38.40 and Telia Company AB (HE:TELIA1) was down 0.81% or 0.032 points to 3.928.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 65 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for January delivery was up 1.72% or 1.04 to $61.66 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 1.39% or 0.76 to hit $55.30 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.71% or 9.11 to trade at $1268.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.43% to 1.1608, while EUR/GBP fell 0.48% to 0.8884.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 94.87.
