Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.25%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.13% or 0.69 points to trade at 22.75 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.77% or 0.68 points to end at 39.06 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 1.60% or 0.0730 points to 4.6280 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which fell 1.07% or 0.35 points to trade at 32.29 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 0.72% or 0.1300 points to end at 18.0200 and Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V) was down 0.42% or 0.07 points to 16.68.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 78 to 74 and 12 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) rose to 5-year highs; up 3.13% or 0.69 to 22.75.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.38% or 0.29 to $77.12 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $67.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.08% or 1.00 to trade at $1201.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.43% to 1.1603, while EUR/GBP fell 0.42% to 0.8906.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.31% at 95.08.
