Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Consumer Goods, Utilities and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.24%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V), which rose 1.71% or 0.61 points to trade at 36.19 at the close. Meanwhile, Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) added 1.66% or 0.1450 points to end at 8.8650 and UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) was up 1.37% or 0.30 points to 22.20 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V), which fell 2.17% or 0.240 points to trade at 10.820 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 1.28% or 0.56 points to end at 43.29 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 0.76% or 0.32 points to 41.67.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 81 to 47 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was up 0.28% or 0.15 to $54.35 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.06% or 0.03 to hit $49.13 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.02% or 13.71 to trade at $1352.71 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.81% to 1.2014, while EUR/GBP rose 0.53% to 0.9185.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.70% at 91.56.
