Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Technology and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.23% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 4.23% or 0.272 points to trade at 6.704 at the close. Meanwhile, Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 2.48% or 0.370 points to end at 15.290 and DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) was up 2.14% or 0.3900 points to 18.5800 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which fell 1.54% or 0.0800 points to trade at 5.1220 at the close. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 1.31% or 0.25 points to end at 18.85 and KONE Oyj (HE:KNEBV) was down 1.27% or 0.59 points to 45.97.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 73 to 72 and 18 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for October delivery was down 0.12% or 0.09 to $74.69 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 0.28% or 0.19 to hit $67.67 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.74% or 8.90 to trade at $1194.40 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.34% to 1.1555, while EUR/GBP rose 0.36% to 0.9014.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.47% at 95.45.
