Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Technology, Financials and Utilities sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.21%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB), which rose 2.06% or 0.135 points to trade at 6.675 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 1.56% or 0.46 points to end at 29.91 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was up 1.55% or 0.120 points to 7.868 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V), which fell 4.02% or 1.08 points to trade at 25.77 at the close. DNA Oyj (HE:DNAO) declined 2.15% or 0.3800 points to end at 17.3200 and Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) was down 2.02% or 0.245 points to 11.905.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 77 to 72 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.02% or 0.245 to 11.905.
Brent oil for January delivery was down 5.88% or 3.68 to $58.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January fell 6.61% or 3.61 to hit $51.02 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.37% or 4.50 to trade at $1223.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.61% to 1.1334, while EUR/GBP fell 0.14% to 0.8844.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.24% at 96.817.
