Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Materials, Telecoms and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Metso Oyj (HE:METSO), which rose 4.85% or 0.42 points to trade at 9.17 at the close. Meanwhile, Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) added 2.37% or 0.10 points to end at 4.20 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 2.33% or 0.08 points to 3.33 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Wartsila Oyj Abp (HE:WRT1V), which fell 2.86% or 0.51 points to trade at 17.30 at the close. Sampo Oyj A (HE:SAMPO) declined 2.27% or 0.94 points to end at 40.48 and Nordea Bank Abp (HE:NDAFI) was down 1.67% or 0.19 points to 10.92.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 103 to 73 and 13 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was up 1.66% or 1.18 to $72.30 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.95% or 1.31 to hit $68.51 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 1.16% or 30.94 to trade at $2,690.54 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.02% to 1.06, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.24% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.07% at 105.66.
