Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Consumer Services and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.14% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V), which rose 1.82% or 0.1350 points to trade at 7.5600 at the close. Meanwhile, Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) added 1.17% or 0.56 points to end at 48.32 and Kesko Oyj (HE:KESKOB) was up 0.96% or 0.43 points to 45.16 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 1.19% or 0.20 points to trade at 16.62 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 0.89% or 0.036 points to end at 3.998 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was down 0.72% or 0.19 points to 26.02.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 88 to 64 and 8 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 0.83% or 0.55 to $65.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.70% or 0.42 to hit $59.55 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.26% or 3.40 to trade at $1290.90 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.35% to 1.1900, while EUR/GBP rose 0.17% to 0.8881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.27% at 92.59.
