Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.13%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 2.11% or 0.56 points to trade at 27.11 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 0.91% or 0.16 points to end at 17.65 and Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) was up 0.80% or 0.22 points to 27.78 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V), which fell 1.66% or 0.12 points to trade at 6.83 at the close. Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) declined 1.03% or 0.080 points to end at 7.670 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was down 0.92% or 0.0720 points to 7.7640.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 87 to 54 and 16 ended unchanged.
Shares in UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM) rose to all time highs; rising 2.11% or 0.56 to 27.11.
Brent oil for March delivery was down 1.39% or 0.98 to $69.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in February fell 0.82% or 0.53 to hit $63.77 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.05% or 0.70 to trade at $1334.20 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.24% to 1.2237, while EUR/GBP fell 0.13% to 0.8881.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.28% at 90.38.
