Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Friday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Goods and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.10%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 1.89% or 0.32 points to trade at 17.26 at the close. Meanwhile, Valmt (HE:VALMT) added 1.43% or 0.23 points to end at 16.37 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.98% or 0.32 points to 33.12 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V), which fell 2.25% or 0.60 points to trade at 26.02 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.78% or 0.1300 points to end at 7.1550 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was down 1.25% or 0.090 points to 7.105.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 83 to 54 and 19 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for February delivery was down 0.21% or 0.13 to $63.18 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 0.39% or 0.22 to hit $57.26 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1257.60 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1776, while EUR/GBP rose 0.87% to 0.8846.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.21% at 93.84.
