Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Utilities, Consumer Services and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.09%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 3.33% or 0.215 points to trade at 6.680 at the close. Meanwhile, Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) added 1.88% or 0.210 points to end at 11.380 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 1.58% or 0.090 points to 5.790 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.71% or 1.02 points to trade at 36.62 at the close. Huhtamaki Oyj (HE:HUH1V) declined 1.42% or 0.49 points to end at 34.11 and Nokian Renkaat Oyj (HE:NRE1V) was down 0.96% or 0.36 points to 37.17.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 70 to 68 and 16 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.81% or 0.47 to $57.45 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.39% or 0.20 to hit $52.08 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.82% or 10.71 to trade at $1290.99 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.21% to 1.1768, while EUR/GBP rose 0.19% to 0.8780.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 93.06.
