Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Utilities, Basic Materials and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.08%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM), which rose 1.39% or 0.33 points to trade at 24.14 at the close. Meanwhile, Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) added 1.25% or 0.22 points to end at 17.78 and Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) was up 1.03% or 0.55 points to 53.85 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 1.23% or 0.20 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Amer Sports Corporation (HE:AMEAS) declined 1.20% or 0.26 points to end at 21.49 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) was down 1.19% or 0.09 points to 7.05.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 63 to 58 and 32 ended unchanged.
Shares in Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM) rose to 52-week highs; up 1.25% or 0.22 to 17.78.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.93% or 0.53 to $56.41 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 1.11% or 0.57 to hit $50.73 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.52% or 6.76 to trade at $1295.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.13% to 1.1843, while EUR/GBP fell 0.45% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.11% at 92.89.
