Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Basic Materials and Financials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 added 0.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.91% or 0.190 points to trade at 6.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.71% or 0.150 points to end at 5.690 and Nordea Bank AB FDR (HE:NDA1V) was up 2.31% or 0.250 points to 11.090 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which fell 3.49% or 0.59 points to trade at 16.31 at the close. Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) declined 1.28% or 0.1100 points to end at 8.4900 and Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) was down 1.10% or 0.44 points to 39.66.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 61 and 23 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for November delivery was down 0.04% or 0.02 to $56.27 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.22% or 0.11 to hit $50.58 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 1.43% or 18.77 to trade at $1297.63 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.37% to 1.1938, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8802.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.24% at 92.00.
