Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Financials and Basic Materials sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.04% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Outotec Oyj (HE:OTE1V), which rose 2.44% or 0.160 points to trade at 6.730 at the close. Meanwhile, Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV) added 2.21% or 0.86 points to end at 39.84 and Valmt (HE:VALMT) was up 2.08% or 0.33 points to 16.22 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which fell 2.11% or 0.80 points to trade at 37.10 at the close. Tieto Oyj (HE:TIE1V) declined 1.80% or 0.49 points to end at 26.66 and Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) was down 1.17% or 0.060 points to 5.055.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 71 to 66 and 17 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for December delivery was down 0.41% or 0.23 to $55.77 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.85% or 0.43 to hit $49.99 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.11% or 1.39 to trade at $1276.51 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.1762, while EUR/GBP fell 0.11% to 0.8863.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.29.
