Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Healthcare and Telecoms sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 gained 0.03%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE), which rose 3.61% or 2.56 points to trade at 73.46 at the close. Meanwhile, Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) added 2.13% or 0.170 points to end at 8.160 and Elisa Oyj (HE:ELISA) was up 0.93% or 0.34 points to 37.07 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Valmt (HE:VALMT), which fell 2.65% or 0.50 points to trade at 18.38 at the close. Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV) declined 1.61% or 0.68 points to end at 41.64 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 1.65% or 0.54 points to 32.16.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 74 to 72 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Neste Oil Oyj (HE:NESTE) rose to all time highs; gaining 3.61% or 2.56 to 73.46. Shares in Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) fell to 52-week lows; losing 1.65% or 0.54 to 32.16.
Brent oil for October delivery was up 1.50% or 1.10 to $74.31 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in September rose 1.96% or 1.34 to hit $69.83 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.34% or 4.10 to trade at $1219.10 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.08% to 1.1559, while EUR/GBP rose 0.38% to 0.8931.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.16% at 95.18.
