Investing.com – Finland stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Utilities, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 rose 0.01%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were Fortum Oyj (HE:FORTUM), which rose 3.52% or 0.47 points to trade at 13.82 at the close. Meanwhile, Neste Oyj (HE:NESTE) added 2.77% or 0.34 points to end at 12.63 and Metsa Board Oyj B (HE:METSB) was up 2.43% or 0.10 points to 4.29 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Cargotec Oyj (HE:CGCBV), which fell 2.32% or 1.19 points to trade at 50.07 at the close. Nokia Oyj (HE:NOKIA) declined 1.48% or 0.07 points to end at 4.35 and Konecranes ABP (HE:KCRA) was down 1.44% or 0.90 points to 61.55.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Helsinki Stock Exchange by 102 to 63 and 22 ended unchanged.
Brent oil for March delivery was up 1.91% or 1.52 to $81.28 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Crude oil for delivery in March rose 2.23% or 1.69 to hit $77.44 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.23% or 33.34 to trade at $2,681.66 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.28% to 1.02, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.11% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 109.77.
