Dec 23 (Reuters) - Fiat's boss Sergio Marchionne scored another victory in his struggle to boost productivity at loss-making Italian car plants by clinching a labour deal with unions for the group's key Mirafiori plant.

Below are key facts about Fiat's car plants in Italy and elsewhere:

PRODUCTIVITY

* Fiat says its five Italian plants of Mirafiori, Cassino, Pomigliano and Melfi produce about 650,000 vehicles a year and employ 22,000 people. This compares with the about 600,000 units produced at its Tychy plant in Poland by about 6,100 workers or the 730,000 units produced by about 9,600 workers at its Betim plant in Brazil.

* MIRAFIORI, Turin (Started producing in 1939)

Workforce: 5,486

Models/Products: Fiat Punto, Fiat Idea, Fiat Multipla, Alfa Romeo MiTo, Lancia Musa.

* GIAMBATTISTA VICO, Pomigliano, Naples (Started producing in 1968)

Workforce: 4,730

Models/ Alfa Romeo 147, Alfa Romeo GT, Alfa Romeo 159, Alfa Romeo 159 Sportwagon.

* CASSINO, Frosinone (Started producing in 1972)

Workforce: 3,939

Models/ Fiat Croma, Fiat Bravo, Lancia Delta, Alfa Romeo Giulietta.

* MELFI, Potenza (Started producing in 1993)

Workforce: 5,280

Models/ Fiat Grande Punto, Fiat Punto Evo.

* SEVEL VAL DI SANGRO, Chieti (Started producing in 1981-Joint venture with PSA Peugeot Citroen)

Workforce: 6,217

Models/ New Ducato Fiat and PSA versions.

OUTSIDE ITALY:

* SERBIA, Fiat Automobiles Serbija, ex-Zastava. Owned 67 percent by Fiat and 33 percent by Serbian government (set up in September 2008)

Workforce: 1,000 from 2,600 in Zastava. Another 1,400 expected to be taken on from Zastava in 2011.

* BRAZIL, Fiasa, Betim-Minas Gerais (Production started in 1973)

Workforce: 9,673

* ARGENTINA, Cordoba (Production started in 1995)
