  • Exxon Mobil (XOM -1.3%) is actively considering whether to invest in electric-charging stations, according to a new report from the Atlantic Council.
  • XOM has been an outlier among international oil and gas majors that have started at least token investments in electric-charging infrastructure, and the company's possible change of heart reflects a recognition that the world is slowly transitioning away from oil-powered cars as part of the energy industry's response to climate change, Axios' Amy Harder writes.
