BRUSSELS (Reuters) - U.S. logistics company FedEx (N:FDX) is set to gain unconditional EU antitrust approval for its 4.4-billion-euro ($5 billion) acquisition of Dutch peer TNT, two people familiar with the matter said on Tuesday.
European Commission spokesman Ricardo Cardoso declined to comment. FedEx has not received a charge sheet or so-called statement of objections listing out the regulator's problematic issues and was confident of closing the deal in the first half of 2016, a spokeswoman said.
