LONDON, Oct 6 (Reuters) - European shares pared gains in afternoon trade on Wednesday after data showed U.S. private sector jobs decreased unexpectedly in September.
By 1219 GMT, the pan-European FTSEurofirst 300 index of top shares was up 0.6 percent at 1,072.37 points.
The ADP National Employment report showed U.S. employment decreased by 39,000 private sector jobs in September, against a forecast of an increase of 24,000 jobs. (Reporting by Harpreet Bhal)
