Global energy technology company Enphase Energy (NASDAQ:ENPH) announced Thursday the availability of the Enphase IQ EV Charger in the United States and Canada.
The Wi-Fi-enabled IQ EV Charger comes equipped with intelligent control and monitoring features. Seamlessly integrating into Enphase’s solar and battery system, it enables homeowners to optimize electricity cost savings by utilizing direct charging from solar energy.
“As more and more consumers make the switch to electric vehicles, they’re looking for smart solutions to reliably charge their vehicles at home without increasing their energy bills,” said Pacific Sun Tech’s Dale Rolph.
Available in various power levels spanning from 32 amperes to 64 amperes, the Wi-Fi-enabled IQ EV Chargers feature a J1772 connector for universal compatibility. With fast charging capabilities, they can provide up to 31 and 61 miles of range per hour, ensuring a complete overnight charge for EVs.
“We are excited to further our total home energy management offering with the new IQ EV Charger and offer a one-stop-shop for installers and homeowners,” said Enphase VP of digital business, Jayant Somani.
Installers and distributors in North America have the option to place immediate orders for the new IQ EV Charger, with production shipments anticipated to commence later in the month. Moreover, consumers in North America can now conveniently purchase the Enphase IQ EV Charger directly from the Enphase Store.
Shares of ENPH are down 5.54% in afternoon trading Thursday.
