Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 fell 3.02%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which rose 0.49% or 0.8 points to trade at 164.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT) fell 0.30% or 1.0 points to end at 332.0 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was down 0.50% or 4 points to 757 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb), which fell 5.46% or 9.1 points to trade at 158.5 at the close. Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) declined 5.12% or 41.20 points to end at 763.00 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was down 4.65% or 9.1 points to 187.7.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 122 to 42 and 11 ended unchanged.
Shares in Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) fell to 52-week lows; down 5.12% or 41.20 to 763.00. Shares in Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.65% or 9.1 to 187.7.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 2.65% or 2.06 to $79.91 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 2.05% or 1.66 to hit $82.46 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 1.92% or 35.00 to trade at $1790.10 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.12% to 6.5816, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4383.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 96.225.
