Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Monday, as losses in the Software & Computer Services, Technology and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 2.35% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 0.96% or 6.00 points to trade at 620.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) fell 1.03% or 1.0 points to end at 96.3 and Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) was down 1.25% or 2.6 points to 205.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 4.83% or 354 points to trade at 6978 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CSE:FLS) declined 4.51% or 11.9 points to end at 251.7 and Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb) was down 4.46% or 40.8 points to 873.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 111 to 19 and 14 ended unchanged.
Shares in FLSmidth & Co. (CSE:FLS) fell to 52-week lows; down 4.51% or 11.9 to 251.7. Shares in Jyske Bank A/S (CSE:JYSK) fell to 5-year lows; down 1.25% or 2.6 to 205.9.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 0.54% or 0.30 to $55.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.25 to hit $60.64 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.29% or 18.75 to trade at $1476.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.84% to 6.6639, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4642.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.58% at 97.282.
