Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Industrials, Financials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 2.07%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 0.32% or 0.8 points to trade at 252.8 at the close. Meanwhile, William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) fell 0.85% or 1.1 points to end at 128.1 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was down 1.19% or 7.5 points to 625.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb), which fell 4.17% or 355 points to trade at 8155 at the close. TDC A/S (CO:TDC) declined 3.93% or 1.31 points to end at 32.04 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was down 3.49% or 285 points to 7880.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 123 to 25 and 12 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 1.07% or 0.50 to $47.10 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 0.81% or 0.39 to hit $48.35 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.65% or 8.80 to trade at $1367.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.10% to 6.7116, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4414.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 96.22.
