Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.55% to hit a new 1-month low.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED), which rose 1.87% or 7.00 points to trade at 382.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) added 0.82% or 5.2 points to end at 638.6 and Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) was down 0.03% or 0.02 points to 61.30 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 3.69% or 37.0 points to trade at 967.0 at the close. Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) declined 2.92% or 6.0 points to end at 197.7 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 2.77% or 240 points to 8432.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 91 to 31 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) fell to 52-week lows; down 2.92% or 6.0 to 197.7. Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) fell to 52-week lows; falling 2.77% or 240 to 8432.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 3.63% or 2.47 to $70.55 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.25% or 1.68 to hit $76.23 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.50% or 6.30 to trade at $1262.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.32% to 6.3878, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4513.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 94.22.
