Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Thursday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 1.49%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb), which rose 0.53% or 2.8 points to trade at 534.0 at the close. Meanwhile, FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) fell 0.03% or 0.1 points to end at 358.2 and GN Store Nord (CO:GN) was down 0.10% or 0.2 points to 199.8 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which fell 4.18% or 17.7 points to trade at 406.0 at the close. Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA) declined 3.97% or 3.02 points to end at 72.96 and Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) was down 2.81% or 6.9 points to 238.6.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 84 to 34 and 19 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was up 0.38% or 0.25 to $65.86 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.37% or 0.26 to hit $70.79 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.30% or 4.10 to trade at $1360.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.58% to 5.9658, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4447.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.47% at 88.60.
