Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Technology sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.44%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 4.00% or 10.80 points to trade at 280.60 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) added 2.74% or 5.60 points to end at 210.00 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 2.18% or 2.40 points to 110.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 3.89% or 475.00 points to trade at 11,725.00 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CSE:MAERSKa) declined 3.64% or 430.00 points to end at 11,370.00 and Oersted AS (CSE:ORSTED) was down 3.22% or 11.00 points to 330.60.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 91 to 43 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for February delivery was up 0.44% or 0.32 to $73.88 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in March rose 0.50% or 0.38 to hit $76.68 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract rose 0.64% or 16.94 to trade at $2,664.34 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.24% to 7.20, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.02% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 108.29.
