Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Healthcare sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 1.29%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which rose 5.31% or 635 points to trade at 12595 at the close. Meanwhile, ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) added 3.33% or 3.70 points to end at 114.95 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 1.50% or 1.6 points to 104.5 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Oersted A/S (CSE:ORSTED), which fell 4.53% or 51.00 points to trade at 1074.00 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) declined 2.63% or 16.4 points to end at 608.0 and William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT) was down 2.65% or 5.9 points to 217.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 72 to 65 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) rose to 3-years highs; up 5.31% or 635 to 12595.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 4.04% or 1.74 to $44.80 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 3.30% or 1.52 to hit $47.56 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 2.07% or 38.10 to trade at $1799.70 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.22% to 6.2732, while EUR/DKK fell 0.02% to 7.4422.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.11% at 92.390.
