Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Financials sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.91%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.11% or 362 points to trade at 9162 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) added 3.88% or 320 points to end at 8575 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.57% or 6.5 points to 419.4 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Genmab (CO:GEN), which fell 3.92% or 44.5 points to trade at 1092.0 at the close. Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) declined 2.68% or 18.2 points to end at 659.8 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was down 1.81% or 12.8 points to 695.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 64 to 48 and 23 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.48% or 1.04 to $69.09 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 0.85% or 0.64 to hit $74.91 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.43% or 5.20 to trade at $1226.50 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.03% to 6.3654, while EUR/DKK rose 0.05% to 7.4522.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.10% at 94.23.
