Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Industrials and Chemicals sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.67%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which rose 6.60% or 27.4 points to trade at 442.3 at the close. Meanwhile, Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) added 0.88% or 3.60 points to end at 411.50 and Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) was up 0.46% or 3.0 points to 659.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa), which fell 2.87% or 215 points to trade at 7280 at the close. GN Store Nord (CO:GN) declined 2.81% or 8.3 points to end at 286.7 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 2.51% or 196 points to 7600.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 78 to 35 and 20 ended unchanged.
Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S A (CO:MAERSKa) fell to 5-year lows; losing 2.87% or 215 to 7280. Shares in Coloplast A/S (CO:COLOb) rose to 5-year highs; rising 0.46% or 3.0 to 659.0. Shares in AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) fell to 52-week lows; losing 2.51% or 196 to 7600.
Crude oil for August delivery was down 2.25% or 1.67 to $72.44 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September fell 3.17% or 2.50 to hit $76.36 a barrel, while the August Gold Futures contract fell 0.72% or 9.00 to trade at $1246.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.32% to 6.3670, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4544.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.36% at 94.19.
