Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Chemicals, Healthcare and Personal & Household Goods sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 lost 0.35%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa), which rose 1.96% or 160 points to trade at 8325 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 1.65% or 140 points to end at 8650 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) was up 0.66% or 3.0 points to 460.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 2.04% or 5.6 points to trade at 269.0 at the close. Genmab (CO:GEN) declined 1.40% or 17.0 points to end at 1193.0 and William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) was down 1.02% or 1.4 points to 135.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 62 and 17 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for September delivery was down 2.40% or 1.03 to $41.89 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 2.59% or 1.17 to hit $44.06 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.43% or 5.65 to trade at $1333.95 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.06% to 6.7683, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.00% to 7.4398.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 97.30.
