Investing.com – Denmark stocks were lower after the close on Friday, as losses in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Consumer Services sectors led shares lower.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 declined 0.18%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED), which rose 0.94% or 4.70 points to trade at 502.20 at the close. Meanwhile, Tryg A/S (CO:TRYG) added 0.51% or 0.9 points to end at 178.4 and Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CO:NOVOb) was up 0.49% or 1.6 points to 328.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which fell 2.66% or 8.2 points to trade at 299.9 at the close. Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) declined 1.73% or 9.2 points to end at 523.8 and AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb) was down 1.24% or 106 points to 8440.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 85 to 44 and 21 ended unchanged.
Shares in Oersted A/S (CO:ORSTED) rose to all time highs; up 0.94% or 4.70 to 502.20.
Crude oil for April delivery was down 0.97% or 0.55 to $56.11 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in May fell 0.77% or 0.51 to hit $65.79 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract rose 1.05% or 13.45 to trade at $1299.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.42% to 6.6360, while EUR/DKK rose 0.03% to 7.4605.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.37% at 97.262.
