Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.65%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CO:GEN), which rose 5.03% or 56.0 points to trade at 1170.0 at the close. Meanwhile, A.P. Moller - Maersk B (CO:MAERSKb) added 4.55% or 375 points to end at 8615 and A.P. Moller - Maersk A (CO:MAERSKa) was up 4.28% or 340 points to 8290 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Nordea Bank AB (CO:NDA), which rose 1.00% or 0.55 points to trade at 55.55 at the close. Jyske Bank A/S (CO:JYSK) added 1.05% or 2.6 points to end at 251.2 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 1.13% or 2.7 points to 241.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 121 to 31 and 13 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.90% or 1.39 to $49.24 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in September rose 2.86% or 1.41 to hit $50.67 a barrel, while the August Gold contract rose 0.72% or 9.45 to trade at $1327.35 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.42% to 6.6991, while EUR/DKK fell 0.07% to 7.4382.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.40% at 95.81.
