Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Software & Computer Services and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.06%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (COP:GEN), which rose 3.94% or 22.5 points to trade at 593.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems (COP:VWS) added 2.72% or 9.1 points to end at 343.5 and Novo Nordisk B (COP:NOVOb) was up 2.56% or 9.3 points to 373.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were William Demant Holding (COP:WDH), which rose 0.50% or 2.5 points to trade at 501.5 at the close. GN Store Nord (COP:GN) added 0.51% or 0.7 points to end at 138.6 and A.P. Moller - Maersk B (COP:MAERSKb) was up 0.95% or 110 points to 11720.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 120 to 32 and 9 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for August delivery was up 2.59% or 1.34 to $52.99 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in August rose 3.37% or 1.93 to hit $58.98 a barrel, while the August Gold contract fell 0.30% or 3.50 to trade at $1160.00 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.58% to 6.7757, while EUR/DKK rose 0.00% to 7.4621.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.43% at 96.79.
