Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Healthcare, Personal & Household Goods and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 2.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb), which rose 7.87% or 20.6 points to trade at 282.5 at the close. Meanwhile, Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA) added 3.46% or 22.5 points to end at 672.0 and Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) was up 1.00% or 3.10 points to 312.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN), which fell 4.87% or 18.7 points to trade at 365.0 at the close. FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) declined 4.00% or 15.8 points to end at 379.2 and Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) was down 2.05% or 14.5 points to 693.0.
Falling stocks outnumbered advancing ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 77 to 38 and 17 ended unchanged.
Shares in Dong Energy A/S (CO:DENERG) rose to all time highs; gaining 1.00% or 3.10 to 312.40.
Crude oil for September delivery was up 0.39% or 0.19 to $49.36 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 0.59% or 0.31 to hit $52.45 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 1.18% or 14.91 to trade at $1277.51 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.08% to 6.3360, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4394.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.05% at 93.53.
