Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Monday, as gains in the Chemicals, Industrials and Oil & Gas sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 2.05%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CO:MAERSKb), which rose 4.80% or 426 points to trade at 9294 at the close. Meanwhile, FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) added 3.95% or 13.1 points to end at 344.5 and Ambu A/S (CO:AMBUb) was up 3.30% or 4.4 points to 137.6 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were GN Store Nord (CO:GN), which fell 5.56% or 14.0 points to trade at 238.0 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 0.76% or 1.5 points to end at 196.5 and Chr. Hansen Holding A/S (CO:CHRH) was up 0.27% or 1.6 points to 604.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 48 and 16 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for January delivery was up 2.26% or 1.14 to $51.56 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in February rose 2.52% or 1.49 to hit $60.53 a barrel, while the February Gold Futures contract fell 0.04% or 0.50 to trade at $1228.60 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.04% to 6.5787, while EUR/DKK fell 0.01% to 7.4614.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 96.882.
