Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Personal & Household Goods and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.93% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 10.21% or 123.0 points to trade at 1328.0 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 6.09% or 56.00 points to end at 975.40 and Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) was up 4.00% or 13.3 points to 346.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb), which fell 1.59% or 240 points to trade at 14865 at the close. Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG) declined 0.03% or 0.1 points to end at 146.4 and Danske Bank A/S (CSE:DANSKE) was up 0.00% or 0.1 points to 114.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 92 to 53 and 13 ended unchanged.
Shares in Ambu A/S (CSE:AMBUb) rose to all time highs; rising 4.00% or 13.3 to 346.0.
Crude oil for June delivery was up 0.26% or 0.16 to $61.51 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in June rose 0.21% or 0.14 to hit $65.46 a barrel, while the June Gold Futures contract fell 0.66% or 11.90 to trade at $1781.20 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.20% to 6.1909, while EUR/DKK rose 0.02% to 7.4361.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.18% at 91.297.
