Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.90% to hit a new 1-month high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS), which rose 7.55% or 32.4 points to trade at 461.6 at the close. Meanwhile, Danske Bank A/S (CO:DANSKE) added 6.66% or 9.0 points to end at 144.1 and FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS) was up 5.13% or 18.1 points to 370.9 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Pandora A/S (CO:PNDORA), which fell 5.95% or 23.2 points to trade at 366.8 at the close. William Demant Holding AS (CO:WDH) declined 3.90% or 8.4 points to end at 207.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was down 3.82% or 11.5 points to 289.8.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 81 to 39 and 15 ended unchanged.
Shares in Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) fell to 52-week lows; losing 3.82% or 11.5 to 289.8.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.47% or 0.29 to $61.92 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January rose 0.08% or 0.06 to hit $72.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.46% or 5.60 to trade at $1229.40 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was down 0.31% to 6.5078, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4598.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.38% at 95.75.
