Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Oil & Gas and Consumer Goods sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.87% to hit a new all time high.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Genmab (CSE:GMAB), which rose 6.90% or 175.00 points to trade at 2,710.00 at the close. Meanwhile, Orsted A/S (CSE:ORSTED) added 4.89% or 19.00 points to end at 407.40 and Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS) was up 4.77% or 7.20 points to 158.00 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Carlsberg A/S B (CSE:CARLb), which fell 0.19% or 1.80 points to trade at 955.20 at the close. Chr Hansen Holding A/S (CSE:CHRH) added 0.20% or 0.90 points to end at 454.00 and Royal Unibrew A/S (CSE:RBREW) was up 0.28% or 1.60 points to 580.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 98 to 51 and 10 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.65% or 1.46 to $89.98 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.73% or 1.59 to hit $93.47 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.10% or 1.95 to trade at $1,930.55 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.59% to 6.99, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.03% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.41% at 104.83.
