Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Real Estate and Chemicals sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 added 1.76%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were FLSmidth & Co. (CO:FLS), which rose 7.99% or 27.5 points to trade at 371.8 at the close. Meanwhile, Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CO:VWS) added 4.17% or 16.9 points to end at 422.3 and Novo Nordisk A/S B (CO:NOVOb) was up 3.21% or 9.4 points to 304.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Novozymes A/S B (CO:NZYMb), which fell 4.28% or 13.7 points to trade at 306.6 at the close. Carlsberg A/S B (CO:CARLb) declined 3.61% or 26.8 points to end at 715.0 and Lundbeck A/S (CO:LUN) was down 3.07% or 9.2 points to 290.0.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 105 to 25 and 11 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for March delivery was down 2.79% or 1.77 to $61.62 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 2.17% or 1.45 to hit $65.41 a barrel, while the April Gold Futures contract fell 0.65% or 8.60 to trade at $1320.90 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.91% to 6.0679, while EUR/DKK rose 0.01% to 7.4433.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.74% at 90.18.
