Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Chemicals, Consumer Goods and Healthcare sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 rose 1.73%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Demant A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which rose 2.27% or 6.40 points to trade at 287.80 at the close. Meanwhile, Novo Nordisk A/S Class B (CSE:NOVOb) added 2.21% or 19.90 points to end at 922.20 and Coloplast A/S (CSE:COLOb) was up 1.64% or 14.80 points to 919.40 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were Tryg A/S (CSE:TRYG), which fell 0.20% or 0.30 points to trade at 148.30 at the close. AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) declined 0.10% or 10.00 points to end at 10,200.00 and Rockwool International B (CSE:ROCKb) was 0.00% or 0.00 points to 2,888.00.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 96 to 39 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for October delivery was up 1.65% or 1.23 to $75.75 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.22% or 0.95 to hit $78.53 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.63% or 16.00 to trade at $2,553.80 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.39% to 6.73, while EUR/DKK unchanged 0.01% to 7.46.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.33% at 101.32.
