Investing.com – Denmark stocks were higher after the close on Thursday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Chemicals and Technology sectors led shares higher.
At the close in Copenhagen, the OMX Copenhagen 20 gained 1.70%.
The best performers of the session on the OMX Copenhagen 20 were Vestas Wind Systems A/S (CSE:VWS), which rose 7.22% or 73.5 points to trade at 1091.5 at the close. Meanwhile, AP Moeller - Maersk A/S B (CSE:MAERSKb) added 2.45% or 240 points to end at 10040 and Genmab (CSE:GMAB) was up 2.43% or 52.0 points to 2189.0 in late trade.
The worst performers of the session were William Demant Holding A/S (CSE:DEMANT), which fell 2.29% or 4.7 points to trade at 200.4 at the close. ISS A/S (CSE:ISS) declined 1.38% or 1.14 points to end at 81.28 and Lundbeck A/S (CSE:LUN) was down 0.96% or 1.8 points to 180.4.
Rising stocks outnumbered declining ones on the Copenhagen Stock Exchange by 80 to 47 and 18 ended unchanged.
Crude oil for December delivery was down 3.85% or 1.44 to $35.95 a barrel. Elsewhere in commodities trading, Brent oil for delivery in January fell 3.66% or 1.45 to hit $38.19 a barrel, while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.58% or 10.95 to trade at $1868.25 a troy ounce.
USD/DKK was up 0.78% to 6.3856, while EUR/DKK rose 0.06% to 7.4459.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.70% at 94.062.
